Biophilica was founded in 2019 and transforms green waste into a plant-based leather alternative that is compostable, recyclable and made locally. Treekind is their first product which is plastic-free and manufactured from lignocellulosic feedstocks from urban parks and gardens, and inedible agricultural feedstock. It is compostable and non-toxic.
